You could also put the sky ships next to each other and put ports to them in the bases. Even if they don't move combat above the battle field would look pretty cool.

Yeah! Riflemen against Archers! It would be epic. Then like a platform linking the ships together, and People would fight on that. It doesn't really take much to think of this stuff. It cold take longer to build than it took to think of it. If i was a GM and i was aloud to build this stuff. I would be building it as we speak.

I think we should still test it.... The ships are HUGE. They are like the size of the Titans on BF2142. So if there was a GM project like that please let us know. It would be fun to know and wonder what it might looks like. I'm still up for the idea of a Small Horde Town attack a Small Alliance Town, and the Alliance town attack the horde as well. There could be a huge fight in the middle. Have Spawned AI (Orcs, BE's, Goblins, etc.)(Humans, NE's, Murlocs, etc.) all attacking in the middle. The king of the Alliance town should be "King Varian Wyrnn", and the king of the Horde town "Thrall The Warchief". We could also have "The Lich King" send Scourge to the fight in the middle. Then after all that blood is Spilled the three kings fight!

That is actually all possible to do but you are talking about a very elaborate LUA script that needs to be written. Unfortunately I don't think Retrac wants to spend all that time writing one script, and I understand why. We all have other things that need to get done first. Maybe start basic with the battle, NPCs would be cool but they should have much higher HP, so they don't die right away. Then who knows, maybe the battles between the bosses could be scripted one day.

Yeah, everything i think of is a REAL tall order.... Thats why i'm going to experiment with my Test Private Server. It's V3.2.2a, i won't leave Fireblade, because this server is awesome.

well as saveon said. it could be possible but when we would probably spent most of our time testing out lua scripting. And Retrac probably rather fixing done ICC and script other stuffs. A server need many good things and not a single good thing.

well I think saveon DOES have some really great ideas on that. But lets think about the BIG picture people...there are some HUGE constructs out there, why think LITTLE town, when we CAN THINK LARGE scale WARFARE imagine it, teams of 7-10 players fighting the enemy faction in the court yard of the defenders castle, along with fighting gaurd NPC's, and for the heck of it, why not throw thrall and king varian in there as garuds themselves! giant cross bows, catapults on fire, broken towers, and molten balistas, you could turn something like what we found under stormwind into the ideal battleground.
Now, I most of you are thinking BUT 20 players is hard to get together for something like that well, thats true. But it'd still be tons of fun, not to mention you could TOTALLY add some twists and turns, it LOOKS like a castle, why not make it a labrynth...imagine a battlegrounds but in maze format! with gaurds, demons, knights, and warlords, it'd be a raid, battleground, and maze all in what!

Plus the population isn't really big enough for a "huge" battle like that. And when it is for many people it is too laggy to even do anything.

perhaps your right saveon, but you could tone it down and still make it fun, i still think having a LABYRINTH BATTLEGROUND would be a fun and easy idea :-) last man standing sort of thing
